Devauden Fete 2016 raised over £2,000 pounds for the village hall, the church and this year's chosen charity, LATCH.

The fete's organiser, Michael Layzell, has sent a thank you message on behalf of the Hall Committee.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who helped at the Devauden Fete.

Whether it was in setting up, running stalls, contributing things to sell, cooking cakes or burgers, packing up, or any of the other things that go to make the fete each year a fantastic success.

It wouldn’t happen without you all, so to each and every one of you a heartfelt thank you. It is you who make it such a success, year after year. Well done! Brilliant!

As a result of your sterling efforts we made a grand profit of £2013.54. This is an excellent amount. And an increase of 53% on last year. Once again a massive thank you to you all.

As you may know, the fete proceeds have always been divided 50/50 between the hall and the church. So of this sum £1006.77 goes to St James' Church.

The hall also gives to its chosen charity each year, so some of the hall’s income will go in due course to LATCH.

Again a massive thanks to you all.

PS So as not to miss the excitement next year make a note of next year’s date! It’s July 8th
