Living in Devauden

The Masons Arms Public House at Devauden near Chepstow in Monmouthshire, South Wales is currently closed.


Devauden Community Council meets once per month to discuss issues relating to Devauden, Itton, Kilgwrrwg, and Llanvihangel Wolvesnewton.
The Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden is used by a large number of community groups and is available to hire for parties and other events. It has been recently refurbished and has a well fitted kitchen, large hall, separate meeting room and a playing field. The hall has a car park and has disabled access ramps.


St James' Church began its life as Devauden School and was built by James Davies in 1814 at the expense of the Duke of Beaufort.

The church is now in a group of five parishes which also includes the churches in St Arvans, Penterry, Itton and Kilgwrrwg.  Two services are usually held each month.


  The Devauden Clock is updated with the opening times of the shop, post office van and other services in Devauden.
