The mobile post office service will end in early January 2023.

Martins, the shop which hosts the post office in Caldicot, has been acquired by the supermarket chain Morrisons. Morrisons has decided to close the Caldicot branch in the New Year and the staff will be made redundant.

The store will shut on 8th January 2023. Although the post office may move to new premises it is extremely unlikely that the mobile service will continue. 

Some staff have already left and, although the current staff hope to be able to maintain a mobile service up until Christmas, it is expected that the visits will be less frequent.
