A new mini library will be open every time there is a Thursday Tea in the village hall and the organisers are asking people to donate a book they have recently enjoyed reading.
The library has been organised by Liz Davies who explains the how the library will work as follows. "Thanks to Martin Chainey we have managed to obtain a substantial bookcase which has been put in the Ferard Room in the village hall and intend filling up with books that local people will be able to borrow. We will concentrate initially on contemporary fiction – the sort of books the book reading public are reading. The idea is that when you have finished with a book you have enjoyed you donate it to the mini library, and hopefully borrow a book someone else has enjoyed. We aim to have about 100 books to choose from. We will open the hall to receive donated books on Sunday mornings 10-11 starting 9th October for the month of October or contact 01291 650536 if you need books to be collected. To all the readers in the village hopefully you will participate in getting this initiative off the ground. The mini library will be open every time there is Thursday Teas (which is held from 2-4pm on the first Thursday of the month) and hopefully at other times once we are up and running."
