The May 2021 Newsletter has been circulated to the community.
The Annual Vestry Meeting will be held on Thursday 27th May at 7:45 pm. It will be an on-line meeting and gives you the chance to hear what is happening (despite the building being closed!).
The Ministry Area meeting on 22nd April was an interesting discussion, and there is a need for people to be part of the transition team, so if you have experience of change management and are interested in helping our previously disparate parishes and groupings become one, please contact Fr Michael ( This email address is being protected from spambots. During May we remember the Ascension and Pentecost. This year the diocese is recommending Thy Kingdom Come - where in the 11 day period between Ascension (13th May) and Pentecost (23rd May) we each pick 5 people to pray for. You don't need to tell them, but you do need to pray for them regularly - one suggestion is that if there are things you do regularly throughout the day (such as boil the kettle for a cuppa) you use that to remind you to pray. You can find more information here https://www.thykingdomcome.global/, and there is a "Cheeky Pandas" section aimed at families with primary school aged children too - https://www.thykingdomcome.global/cheekypandas - the films will, I think, be on YouTube.
St Arvans church is open for services but you do have to book in as only 30 people are allowed in, but the services are streamed on Facebook - and are available on this link https://www.facebook.com/pg/vicaragecello1/videos (you don't need a facebook account to watch). To attend in person, please contact Maureen Stephens on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
