Join Devauden W.I. on Monday 12th September for a  talk entitled "Birds of the Locality and Where To See Them".

Local ladies who haven't been to Devauden WI meetings before are welcome to attend this event as a “taster meeting”. 

The talk is by Denis Parkes, a very keen amateur birdwatcher who lives in St Arvans. Denis has been a bird-watcher for more than 45 years. As a teenager he travelled the length and breadth of the UK to see every British breeding bird, and quite a few scarce vagrants along the way. Since then he has travelled much further afield internationally in pursuit of his passion, but he admits to still being enchanted by our common birds. The talk will focus on local birds, both obvious and perhaps not so well known.
