Devauden is a village in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire.  It is located with the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about 5 miles from Chepstow on the B4293 towards Monmouth.

The amenities in Devauden include a village shop, garage and The Masons Arms pub, which is currently closed.   Various clubs meet at the village hall which also hosts many social events.

Devauden hosts popular annual music festival and cross-country races events.  The Devauden Bonfire Night event on 5th November attracts visitors from a wide area.

James Davies (1765-1849) was schoolmaster at Devauden and played an important part in the development of the village during the early nineteenth century.

John Wesley preached his first sermon in Wales at Devauden on October 15, 1739.

Devauden is on the edge of Chepstow Park Wood which is managed by Natural Resources Wales.

The nearest primary school to Devauden is in Shirenewton and the nearest secondary school is Chepstow Comprehensive

Places of interest near to Devauden include Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Racecourse.

The local authority for Devauden is Monmouthshire County Council.  The Community Council meets monthly  to discuss issues relating to Devauden and the neighbouring villages of Itton, Kilgwrrwg, and Llanvihangel Wolvesnewton.
