The committee of the Devauden Village Hall has sent a message of thanks to everyone who helped make this year's event such a success.

To all those in our village who yet again gave of their time to make annual summer fete a great success.

From the regular stalwarts to the welcome new faces who acted like a volunteer army to put up /take down marquees, gazebos etc. To the bar staff quenching thirsts, the W.I team for providing afternoon teas, the BBQ chefs, the ladies on the bottle stall and the raffle ticket sellers down to the side show gang: all of which making it a real community event thoroughly enjoyed by many.

In the absence of Michael & Julie, to whom we thank  for all their preliminary organisation but also to Sarah and Martin who took over the running of the event on the day and did a magnificent job.

Finally a  most appreciative thank you to all who responded so positively to “Save our cake stall” plea by coming up with some delicious produce.

Lastly, our new M.C Ken Rees and not to forget Geoff for spray painting the running track lines or Dave for the straw bales.

This collective effort gave rise to a profit of around £2000 which will be shared equally between the village hall and St. James Church.

But most of all a big thank you to all of you who came along to support the fete.

See you  next year.
