The Fete

There's lots to see and do at the Devauden Fete on Saturday 10th July.

A fantastic programme of entertainment includes Severnside Silver Dragons marching band, The Widders morris dancers, a falconry display from Black Mountain Falconry, a gymnastics display by Kestrel Gym, juggling from street entertainer and lots more.  You'll also have a chance to try your hand at archery and take part in all the traditional fete activities, such as, the coconut shie, bottle tombola and tug o' war.  Don't forget the produce stalls selling delicious cakes and pies.

Various food and refreshments will be on offer including BBQ, Brookes ice cream, teas and coffees, a bar serving beers and ciders, and, of course,  Pimms.  Soft drinks and sweets will also be available.

Proceeds of the fete go to Children with Leukaemia , St. James Church and The Hood Memorial Hall.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored this year's fete.  This includes Johnsey Estates, Broadhall Estates, and AMS Fleet Management and the Mahonney family.  Thanks to the Masons Arms for donating a barrel of beer.  Donations were also received from Richard Tyzacks, Andrew Hunt, Dave Maddocks, Ruth McKergow, Julie Layzell,  and many others.

Summer Fete Draw

It's not too late to get your tickets for the Devauden Summer Fete Draw.  Prizes include: two premier race day tickets for Chepstow Racecourse; a golf day for two at Dewstow, a full car service at Meredith Motors, a super hamper from Devauden Green Shop,  many meals for two at local pubs and restaurants and numerous other prizes.

Tickets cost £1 and can be purchased from John Rowlands at the fete.

Proceeds of the draw also go to Children with Leukaemia , St. James Church and The Hood Memorial Hall.

The Afterparty

This year's evening do features live music from Incommunicado and a disco.

Incommunciado are four piece band who stole the show when they appeared at the Devauden Music Fest in May.  Songs by U2, The Rolling Stones, Green Day, The Beatles and The Stereophonics have all received the Incommunicado treatment.  This band is fronted by Will from Devauden and covers the very best rock songs from the past 40 years (plus a few of their own for good measure).

Besides two live sets from the band, the afterparty also features a disco with DJ tdmusic.

The event is being kindly sponsored by Johnsey Estates.  It starts at 7:30pm.  Entrance is £4 and tickets are available on the door.
