COVID-19

The Devauden Coronavirus Support Group has been established to offer help to anyone in our community who may need it. As well as intending to offer practical assistance we hope that the presence of the Support Group in our community will provide people with the reassurance that help will be available for them if they need it.

The post office van service will return to Devauden from Monday 8 June 2020 onward.

The Group is an informal group of individual volunteers who are coordinating their efforts to support households in Devauden and the surrounding communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as offering practical assistance the presence of the Support Group in our community will provide people with the reassurance that help will be available for them if they need it.

Leigh and Debra are doing an important job for the village by keeping the shop open, and we are all extremely grateful for that. It’s important that we don’t put them or other customers in jeopardy when we use the shop. If you visit the shop you find that procedures have now been put in place to protect both staff and customers.  The shop opening hours have also been altered so that Leigh and Debra are able to provide their more vulnerable customers with home deliveries.
