Village Hall

  • The committee of the Devauden Village Hall has sent a message of thanks to everyone who helped make this year's event such a success.

  • The Hood Memorial Hall is available for hire for parties, clubs, meetings and other events.

  • The Trustees of the Hood Memorial Hall have announced that they intend to reopen the hall for users from Monday 7th September 2020.

  • You can help to contribute to the upkeep of the hall grounds by joining The Top 50 Club.  You may even win a prize!

  • Sadly, John North-Row died, rather suddenly, early on Easter Sunday.  John was an active member of our community and was church warden at St. James Church for many years.  He was a gifted reader and he will be greatly missed by the congregation.

  • The Village Hall has bought a field.  Now they need your help to name it and to decide what to do with it.

  • Love it or loathe it there's no denying that Amazon has been a godsend during lockdown, but did you know that you can raise money for your favourite charity whenever you buy something online?  

  • The sum raised for SARA at the recent Charity Bingo & Auction night at Devauden Village Hall was £2170.   Thanks to all who donated and those who came along and spent their cash in support of SARA.

  • The Devauden Parent and Toddler Group meets at the village hall between 10am and noon on Tuesdays during school term time.

  • This year's Devauden Village Fete raised the record Breaking sum of £3121 which will be shared with St. James Church.   The Hall Committee has sent a message of thanks to everyone involved,

  • A sewing circle meets at Devauden Village Hall on Monday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm.  Stitch, cuppa and natter £2.

  • Thursday Tea in Devauden Village Hall every third Thursday in the month from 2 to 4:30pm.


  • The Hood Memorial Hall Committee, Devauden currently has a vacancy for a trustee.  The deadline for applications is 6th November 2020.
