Brian Phillips, much-loved landlord of the Masons Arms and lifelong resident of Devauden, passed away on 20th January 2010. Brian's contribution to Devauden is incomparable and he is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Brian Phillips, landlord of The Masons Arms in Devauden, recently celebrated his 60th birthday. Naturally, he choose the Masons as the venue and the pub was packed with regulars, friends and family who came along to join him on this great occasion.
Monmouthshire County Council has received a planning application for the change of use of the Masons Arms from a public house to a dwelling.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the charity auction at The Masons Arms on 2nd January. Over £2000 pounds was raised for Children with Leukaemia. This brings the total raised in the appeal to nearly £3000.

A big thank you to local rock band Ugly Frog who raised the roof at the Masons on 19th December (you may have noticed that repairs already being carried out).
The Masons Arms pub was very much at the heart of our community and its closure in October 2011 left a gap that has never been filled. Now, at last, there is, perhaps, some hope that it will reopen in the near future.
