in Memory of Brian Phillips

Brian Roy Phillips
23 September 1949 -20th January 2010

The funeral of Brian Phillips, landlord of The Masons Arms and life-long resident of Devauden, was held at St. Peters Church, Newchurch on Monday 1st February 2010. 

Hundreds of people gathered inside and outside the church to join the service which began with one of Brian's favourite songs "Dirty Old Town".  The service was conducted by Rev. William Ingle-Gillis (Father Will) and included a tribute by Brian's niece Emma.

Over the years Brian organised many fundraising events for the charity Children with Leukaemia and his recent efforts over the Christmas period resulted in £3000.

Brian's family have asked for donations in his memory to be made to CLIC Sargent, a charity that cares for children and young people with cancer.  Please make cheques payable to CLIC Sargent and send them via the funeral directors.
