Fete Accompli

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this year's Devauden Fete and Barn Dance such a great success.

Special thanks to Johnsey Estates whose sponsorship paid for the band at the barn dance and to Brian at The Masons for the donation of a barrel of Butcombe bitter. Other sponsors included Broadhall Estates, Tony Mahoney and Richard and Sarah Tyzack.

Many local businesses donated generous prizes for the raffle. Thanks to all of them including Meredith Motors in Devauden and Chepstow Racecourse.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the bottle collection and to those cooking in large quantities of cakes etc. for the stalls.

So many people helped during the day and at the barn dance in the evening that we daren't list them all in case someone is missed out but well done to all of you who gave up your valuable time to help the community. Dave and Sue Maddocks deserve a special mention due to their marathon stint at the BBQ all afternoon and late into the evening. Also thanks to Julie Layzell and Ruth McKergow for their fantastic baking.
