An open letter to the local community

Most of you will be aware that Post Office Ltd under instructions from the government have implemented closures of rural Post Offices. Unfortunately Devauden Post Office has been included in this category of closures.

May we take this opportunity to inform the local community that Caldicot Post Office will be providing a mobile outreach service starting June 20th 2008.

We will be providing this service to other rural areas in the locality which means we will be operating on slightly reduced hours that what you may have been used to.

However we hope that we can compensate for this by providing extra services which you may not have been used to these are: -

• Vehicle Licensing
• Foreign Currency on demand
• Passport check and send
• Travel money card
• Travellers cheques

Myself Mr Terry Gorton and my son Mr Martyn Gorton will be providing this service.

From a personal point of view I am very pleased to be offering this mobile outreach to the local community as I am a local resident of Kilgwrrwg.
